About Lotus Light Himalaya

Company founder Suzan Lumiere fell in love with Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy in the late 70s. After having studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism for several years, she began promoting handmade Himalayan products in hopes of contributing, if in some small way, to the spread of Tibet awareness.

Her company was the first to introduce authentic traditional Tibetan incense to the North American market in 1990, at a time when Tibetan incense was largely unheard of. The quality of this incense is exceptional. Composed of 25 therapeutic indigenous roots, herbs and flowers, Mandala incense is all-natural and chemical- free. Each burning stick is reminiscent of a wood burning fire on top of a pristine mountain. No wonder it's one of the Dalai Lama's favorites!

Lotus Light Himalaya has since expanded over the years to include a unique assortment of handmade Himalayan treasures. Today, we are still North America's exclusive and official distributor of Tibetan Mandala Incense as well as #1 seller of Nepali glass bead Roll-on bracelets.

In collaboration with several NGOs, our Roll-on bracelet supplier in Nepal has provided over 1800 women of all ages with free training; paying them above-market wages that are fair and competitive, and ensuring them a safe and comfortable working environment. Ultimately, our goal is to empower the talented artisans and craftspeople of Nepal, India, and Tibet, and help them achieve social and economic freedom by working with people who share the same goals.

Suzan and her daughter Amber now run the company together and feel fortunate to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring global endeavor, spreading love and awareness without borders.
